Welcome to AHA Western Australia

Members of the Australian Homoeopathic Association in Western Australia are a small but active group of practitioners and general members dedicated to the furtherance of homoeopathy in this state. Regular information days and seminars are hosted by the branch and individual members are active in the community conducting talks, interviews and activities to educate the public about this wonderful system of medicine.

Go to the events page to see what seminars and events are planned and also to read reviews of past seminars. To find a registered homoeopathic practitioner you can view a list of current members by opening the PDF on this page or go to the National website for more details about registered practitioners and other relevant information about homoeopathy in Australia.

In October 2006 the WA branch was very proud to host the 5th Australian Homeopathic Medicine Conference. We were delighted to celebrate the fact that Homeopathy has come full circle in Western Australia. It all commenced in 1846 with the arrival in Fremantle of four Spanish Benedictine monks who established a monastery at New Norcia treating European settles and indigenous people in the area. These origins were recognized with a visit to the monastery at New Norcia during the Conference.

One hundred and sixty years later 179 people from around the world came to Fremantle, the port city for Perth the Capital of Western Australia, to participate in two days of professional development, camaraderie and celebration. Delegates from far and wide found Western Australian hospitality warm and friendly and many lingered afterwards to enjoy the many tourist choices including our famous wildflowers which were at their peak.

The AHA nationally

The Australian Homoeopathic Association Inc (AHA) was formed in 1995 from the merger of the New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria/Tasmania branches of the Australian Federation of Homoeopaths, the Australian Society of Homoeopaths (Queensland), and the Oceanic Homoeopathic Research Foundation (Western Australia), but its origins date from 1946 with the Australian Institute of Homoeopathy. In 1997 further mergers were agreed with the Australian Federation of Homoeopaths in Queensland and in Western Australia, and with the Homoeopathic Association of New South Wales.

The AHA is the only national homoeopathic association representing professionals in Australia, and is a member of the International Council for Classical Homoeopaths.
